Sitecore 9.1 single machine installation - SQLCMD Issue

Hello All,

I am trying to install v9.1 on developer machine.using  Sitecore Install Framework Version - 2.1.0 I have SQL Server Express on my machine. I have changed SQL Server name to MachineName\SQLExpress in following files:

sitecore-XP0.json

xconnect-xp0.json

XP0-SingleDeveloper.json

XP0-SingleDeveloper.ps1

IdentityServer.json

The installation runs till the step "XConnectXP0_CreateShardApplicationDatabaseServerLoginSqlCmd" and fails with the following error:

SQLCMD.EXE : Sqlcmd: Error: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 11.0 : The client cannot connect to the server because the requested instance was not available. Use SQL Server Configuration Manager to make sure the
SQL Server instance is configured correctly. .

- I have on the SQL instance enabled SQL Server and Windows authentication mode

- Enabled TCP/IP, Names Pipes in SQL Native Client 11.0 config and SQL Server Network configuration

- Added C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn to path variable

- I have these installed:

I can from a command prompt use sqlcmd -S MachineName\SQLEXPRESS successfully.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Sumit
