Introducing Sitecore’s new CEO

We wanted to let our developer community know that Sitecore Co-Founder Michael Seifert announced this morning that he is stepping aside as Sitecore CEO. He’s been working closely with our board of directors to find a new CEO with a perfect balance of technology and transformational experience to lead Sitecore into the future, and he believes they’ve found just that. Allow us to introduce you to Mark Frost, Sitecore’s new CEO.

Mark brings to Sitecore more than 20 years’ experience as an unyielding customer-focused leader in enterprise software companies. Though he started his career as a software engineer at GE, he most recently served as CEO of MarkMonitor, the global leader in enterprise brand protection, where he grew the company to a valuation of $3.55 billion.  Prior to MarkMonitor, Mark held executive positions at companies ranging from Saba, Peoplesoft, and Documentum, to CA Technologies and GE.

He is looking forward to accelerating Sitecore’s continued strategic direction by delivering customer-focused innovations in web content management, commerce, and digital experience platforms. Above all, Mark wants Sitecore to be your best technology partner—he appreciates the value of our partner community and is committed to our joint success. And he looks forward to meeting all of you at Symposium in October.

Michael will join the board of directors and will continue to focus on guiding product and technology strategy, especially as it relates to machine learning, optimization, and personalization.
