The Sitecore Portland User Group will meet this Thursday (23 April, 2015) at 6:00 for happy hour at Baerlic Brewing Company (2235 SE 11th Ave). This is a great opportunity for the local community to share their experiences and ideas about using and developing with the Sitecore ASP.NET web Content Management System (CMS) and Experience Platform (XP).
While this is primarily a social event, Connective DX (formerly ISITE Design) will provide a warm introduction. Pavel Veller and Brian Beckham will demonstrate the BrainJocks SCORETM accelerator for Sitecore development. SCORE has created quite a buzz in the community since its official release at the 2014 Sitecore Symposium. With accolades such as "This is jaw dropping!", "There's nothing else like this on the market!", and "... dynamic placeholders on steroids!", you will not want to miss seeing this! SCORE is best described as an implementation accelerator and an enforcer of best practices. BrainJocks likes to call it the content administrator's magic wand. This is your chance to see what everyone is talking about!
I will be there to embarrass myself by trying to answer technical support questions about future product in real time. At least one person from Coveo plans to be there as well.
Depending on attendance (and whether @MapleXO can complete the laser etching in time), I intend to hand out a few of the coveted Sitecore bottle openers made from recycled skateboard materials.
At the event, Sitecore will provide food and some drinks not available from the brewery. To help the organizers get a more accurate attendance estimate, please respond to the meetup link at the end of this blog post.
