Habitat Home Utilities was created to make installing Sitecore and Habitat Home easier. The repository has a collection of script examples and other utilities with demos using Habitat Home. Most scripts can be repurposed to work with other solutions.
To show some of the power of the utilities, we have released a 4-part video series showing one flow for installing prerequisites and Experience Platform with Habitat Home. Follow along on the steps to see how easy it is to get up and running.
Then, get the full source of Habitat Home Utilities on GitHub!
Now, enjoy the video series…
This first installation step covers setting up the Azure VM that will be used throughout the series.
In the second installation step, the Azure VM will be taken to the step where we are ready to install Sitecore. This includes prerequisites and other tools like Git and VS Code.
The third installation step is where Solr and the Sitecore XP0 package is installed. By the end of this video, there is a fully working Sitecore instance.
In the final step, additional modules are installed into the Sitecore instance to get Habitat Home working. This takes the working Sitecore instance and adds things like Sitecore Experience Accelerator, Data Exchange Framework, Sitecore Powershell Extensions, and Habitat Home.
