'Experience' Sitecore Experience Commerce at this year’s Symposium

Symposium 2019 Banner

Whether you are already going to this year’s Sitecore Symposium (November 4-7, 2019) or you’re still "considering" whether to attend, if you want to know what Sitecore is doing with our Experience Commerce product, Symposium is the place to be. At this year’s conference we’ll be sharing stories about who is using it, and where it’s going. In fact, Symposium will offer more content on Experience Commerce than ever before.

I thought a quick summary of what’s on tap for this year’s event will help you pick which breakouts you might want to attend, or provide the incentive to get you to register and join us in Orlando at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort.

It all starts during the pre-conference seminars – where yours truly (and colleagues) will be presenting “Sitecore Symposium 101: Commerce Developers - Sitecore Experience Commerce™ Technical Introduction”. In this session we’ll look at Experience Commerce 9.2, how it connects to Sitecore® Experience Platform™, how to connect Sitecore XC to external systems, and how to build storefronts using Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SxA). The session is designed for technologists new to Sitecore XC or folks with experience building custom storefronts but not leveraging the SXA Storefront.

During Symposium, we have an entire content track planned called “Preparing for Experience Commerce”. There will be 18 breakout sessions focused solely on getting the most from Experience Commerce. Hear from companies like Dorel Sports (Cannondale Bicycles), Caleres (Famous Footwear), Joyce Meyer Ministries, VCA, Herschend Family Entertainment (Dollywood), and Bruna about how Sitecore Experience Commerce helped them make human connections in a digital world, which is the theme of the conference. Additionally, there will be Commerce breakouts in the DevOps Scenarios content track, plus sessions on Voice Assistant integration, marketing automation, the future of commerce, and many more that will all be presented throughout the week.

So, with all this content and the fact we’re back in the theme park capital of the world of Orlando, Florida, why wouldn’t you come join me and all your developer friends this November? Hope to see you there!

To register for the pre-conference seminar, you have to register for the full event as well, which you can do here. If you have already registered for Sitecore Symposium 2019, please consider joining the pre-conference seminar by adding that option to your current registration.
